Atmosphere by Krallerhof

The spa and wellness facility extends the five-star Hotel Krallerhof in Leogang south of Salzburg. The central element of the design by Hadi Teherani Architects is a curved and staggered roof construction that blends gently into the landscape. An underground corridor with a spiral yard connects hotel and spa. The varied wellness offer is supplemented by a large swimming pool in a newly created natural lake. Large glass surfaces in the facade and a well thought-out network of paths allow the interior and exterior space to merge.

Our lighting design includes the entire new building indoors and outdoors, as well as the outdoor area of the existing hotel complex. The light creates a special atmosphere as well as orientation and perspectives in the building and in the nature. Subtle light accents emphasize the dynamics of the architecture and strengthen the connection between inside and outside at night.

      Project

The German Football Association (DFB) is Germany's largest athletic association. But it did not have a national training center. Which makes the DFB Academy a highly unique project–a new kind of space meant to bring together people of all ages and athletic abilities.
The architects use a large boulevard to connect the large complex of offices, playing fields, restaurants, fitness and hotel rooms.
The concept for the lighting design is based on the idea of an outside boulevard. The colors for the ceiling areas were chosen by us to be in two different blue tones without any lighting fixtures mounted in this "sky," the illumination of which is of central importance to create the illusion of light from above all the way down into the darkest areas.
The lighting on the city boulevard below it is animated and varied making the 230-meter-long route a diverting and entertaining one.
We designed a six-meter-high tree made of lights to serve as the central feature on the market square. It is constructed out of high jumping poles and consciously symbolizes a niche sport in the DFB.

    • Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois

      Project

"Les Trois Rois is characterized by elegant classical architecture and French flair. The now completely redesigned main building on the Schifflände is inspired by French classicism while also incorporating new modern elements, such as unaccustomed combinations of materials and surprising lights and colors. Each floor is its own uniquely designed environment with rooms for public urban life and spaces for calming relaxation and intimacy for the hotel guest," says architect Jacques Herzog, founding partner of Herzog & de Meuron, about the remodeling of this historic building.

It is part of the Grand Hôtel Les Trois Rois ensemble located directly on the Rhine with suites, a spa predicated on Japanese philosophy, adaptable rooms for celebrations, conferences and banquets, as well as the BANKS restaurant and a cigar lounge, The Council. In addition to these interior areas, our lighting design also includes the new outdoor illumination of the entire Grand Hôtel ensemble. It is one of the oldest city hotels in Europe.

    • Golf- und Land-Club Berlin - Wannsee

      Project

The clubhouse of Germany's oldest golf club, founded in 1894, has been modernized and extended to include a spacious covered terrace. We assisted the interior designer LenzWerk with the lighting concept and the detailed planning for the public clubrooms and restaurant.
The clubhouse's new highlight–the protruding roof designed by the architects Gewers&Pudewill–enables generous use of the terrace and the new transparent facade connects the club rooms with the green. Using only one type of integrated luminaire, our lighting design brightens the underside of the roof's wooden beams. Adjustments to the dimming result in shimmering wood or a warmly lit terrace. From the golf course the floating surface of the roof is visible from afar. In the evenings, it expands the lighted spaces of the clubhouse and restaurant.

    • Hotel Aletto

      Project

The Aletto Hotel Potsdamer Platz is more than just a hotel. It has all sorts of rooms for micro-fairs, events or pop-up stores. These rooms are multifunctional in their lighting in order to do justice to a wide variety of needs.
In the areas used for pop-up stores, a busbar has been integrated into a complex, multifunctional mounted rail display system. The structure's design and arrangement also takes normal hotel operations into account. Cylindrical surface-mounted downlights with busbar adapters and swiveling reflectors provide general lighting. This is supplemented by decorative pendant luminaires on rails.
Standing as a highlight on the rooftop terrace looking out over the city is an over-sized and eye-catching outdoor standing lamp.

    • Schloss Elmau

      Project

Steeped in tradition, Schloss Elmau was built in 1916 as a cultural meeting place for friends and artists, and following a fire, redeveloped into a five-star cultural hideaway and several luxury spas. The mood of the light at this special place is influenced by warm gold reflections which are reminiscent of sun and moonlight when walking through the rooms, the four restaurants and the three luxury spas. The likewise warm-toned guestrooms allow for variations in mood with custom-designed
      and easy to use luminaires.
