For the main production facility of the Carl Zeiss AG in Oberkochen, a new restaurant for the staff was designed, which not only serves as the main focus of the lunch break, but also as a central point for meeting and communication.

Building Type:
Industry +
The goal of the lighting design for the diverse areas of the building was to conceive of an appropriate lighting whose effect is uniform and inviting.
Area:
Restaurant +
The high-ceilinged dining room is the central meeting area in the building and is also equipped for other uses, such as assemblies and conferences. The illumination of the space is accentuated by three round luminous ceiling elements in the middle of the room. The lighting fixtures each have a diameter of 4.2 meters and are surrounded by an LED light ring that can alter the mood through a change in color.
Lighting Technology:
Artificial Light +
Since the internal light atmosphere radiates outward through the building’s glass walls without being filtered, value was placed on a harmonious lighting of the different areas.
