The research and administrative building for Procter & Gamble is located in Schwalbach am Taunus. The labs and open office areas are arranged around a glass-roofed atrium. Kardorff Ingenieure Lichtplanung was responsible for the daylight design of the facade, atrium and roof.
The atrium was designed to have a daylight system that avoids using additional elements to protect against the sun.
The micro-grid deflects the sunlight and at the same time allows the diffuse northern light through. High daylight values and excellent thermal protection are thus combined together.
