In 2002 on the Theodor-Stern-Kai am Main, with a direct view of the Frankfurt skyline, the new office and service center for nine Allianz insurance companies with approximately 2,500 employees was constructed. Kardorff Ingenieure designed the lighting for all of the special areas and the illumination of the facade.
11W fluorescent lamps are integrated into the office pendant luminaires which fill the tower at night with light.
The entrance embodies an interplay of light art and illumination.
The main corridor is lit with precision using mirrored surfaces. No light hits the facades. The projectors are not visible.
Blue clouds float past on white ceilings. The speed and direction of the blue-lit areas correspond to the actual wind direction and strength.

The light fields (clouds) in the restaurant are controlled in terms of speed and direction by the actual wind conditions. (Image of the control panel)
