Transa is the largest outdoor outfitter in Switzerland. In September 2012, Transa opened its flagship store with a sales area of 3,000 m² on the Europaallee directly next to Zurich’s main train station.

The two-storey space, bright ceilings and dark flooring underline the magnitude of the area. The materials create an outdoorsy feeling to best present the products. In the central area large-format, hanging luminous ceiling elements give emphasis to the orientation and give an impression of daylight.

The greatest degrees of transparency and flexibility for illuminating the display windows were achieved by the lighting design.
Lighting Technology:
LED +
Illumination of the goods and the general lighting were realized through LED spots on lighting rails. The luminous color of 3,000 K responds to the warm materiality. Carefully positioned LED spots accentuate important features. Small LED moving lights inside a transparent climbing wall with a reflective back wall create color changes and slow movements for additional vibrancy.
