The light master plan covers the historic Berlin Mitte. The master plan was drawn up in such detail that the city and future planners will have direct information on the implementation. Now nearly ten years later, the master plan has been almost completely realized.

In the Lindenforum, the mostly contiguous buildings on the boulevard Unter den Linden give way to the ensemble of solitary historic structures. The lighting attempts to emphasize this change in spatial sequence. The focus of the horizontal illumination for the street changes over to vertical lighting for the building facades.
