Within the glassed-in area facing the Friedrichstrasse, a thin rod of light (height: 21 m) was installed at a slightly tilted angle. Through its multiple reflections on the surrounding glass, a separate lighted space is created.

Through the multiple reflections, a space with exaggerated depth is achieved.

The light rod is the night light for the urban quarter.

The light rod consists of green glass blanks and custom-made fluorescent lamps. The supports and rod are of modular construction.
