In Kempfenhausen on the shores of Starnberger See, the Allianz has a training center for its management. A subsequently built subterranean lecture hall was to be provided with daylight to the best extent possible.

We developed customized luminaires to be recessed in the acoustical ceiling.

The view into the narrow inner courtyards was accentuated with LED linear strips. This involved one of the first uses of LEDs in an outer facade (2000).

An extensive daylight simulation was undertaken. The efficiency of the narrow inner courtyards as a source of daylight was assessed and optimized.
Artificial Light +
The downlights are recessed into the curving ceilings with a horizontal light emission.
LED +
The outer facade is backlit with linear LED ribbons. Our first LED project in 2000.
